Frances’ career commenced in academia and moved into management consultancy to MNCs in Malaysia and overseas in Finland, Denmark, Australia, China, India, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Brunei. Her executive coaching career expanded into organisations that spanned over a range of industries such as Banking and Finance, Property and Hotels, Oil and Gas, Telco, FMCG, Insurance, Medical and Education. Her clients are mainly leaders from the C-Suite, C-1 and C-2 band. Frances’ philosophy in coaching is to partner with these leaders in their transformation journey so that they become aware of who they are being in various scenarios. With this realization, new options are created, different choices are made, and concrete decisions are confirmed. All this aims to showcase a better version of themselves. Frances supports leaders in the key areas of development such as Executive Leadership, Executive Presence, Team Empowerment, Disruptive Mindset, Behavioural Skills, and Cross-Cultural Diversity.
Frances is an International Coach Federation Master Certified Coach (MCC). She is the Director of Education at Frances’ Coaching School. Frances was elected the First President of the ICF Malaysia Chapter (2011). She was a Board Director of the ICF Global Thought Leadership Institute (2020-2021), Board Director of the ICF Global Enterprise Board (2020-2021), Board Director of the ICF Ethics Global Board (2016-2019), Member of the ICF Global Nominating Committee (2018-2020) and Member of the ICF Core Competency Review Team (2019). Her professional qualifications include being a Certified Mentor Coach (Invite Change, USA) and an Accredited Coach Supervisor (CSA, U.K.). She holds a B.Acc (University Malaya), Masters in Accounting (University of Southampton, UK) and a PhD in Accounting (University Malaya).
