Dr. Fakhrul Anwar Zainol
Dr. Fakhrul is a professional business coach for SMEs owners and managers, helping them grow and develop their enterprises. He coaches in a wide variety of industries, including sales, healthcare, services and manufacturing-related services. He has practiced in functional areas such as sales, marketing, and operations. His focus with business owners has been to facilitate creating their business vision and the development of strategies to fulfill that vision. He had years of experience in development banking with Bank Pembangunan & Infrastruktur Malaysia and SME Bank Bhd before becoming an academician. His duties included marketing, evaluation of project viabilities, supervising project implementation, undertaking loan collection and credit control and rehabilitating problem projects. Besides that, he was also involved in entrepreneurial training carried out by the organization to channel knowledge in various aspects of business aimed at developing viable and competitive Bumiputera entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs, particularly in SMEs. He has a Degree in Accountancy (B. Acc) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) and completed his Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) at the University of Newcastle, Australia. He also holds Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship (PDE) from Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, UK. His area of expertise/research includes entrepreneurship, strategic management, business strategies, corporate strategies and SMEs management. Currently, he is attached to the Centre for Income Generation, Investment and Industrial Linkages as well as Associate Professor at Faculty of Business and Management, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Terengganu. He also served as Chairman, Koperasi Permodalan Sahabat (Terengganu) Berhad (KOSAHABAT); a cooperative movement that focus on agribusiness and property development. He received his formal entrepreneurship training/coaching in Australia and becomes Accredited MAUS Coaching Partner, Sydney, Australia and was appointed as the 1st President of Institute of Advisors (Malaysian Chapter).
